We are closing the Red course on Wednesday this week so we can begin work on re-shaping the bunkers.
Work has started on removing the turf from around the bunkers, we will re-use as much of this turf as we can. We will continue to do this as long as the weather allows.
Work continues on clearing around the trees on the course, we are almost finished along the left hand side of red 5. Several areas of bushes need to be thinned out and re-planted. We are moving some of these along the out of bounds between blue 9 and the practice area and along the road behind the old blue 9 green.
This week we will finish the verti-cutting/topdressing of the fairways and if the weather holds, then we will try the verti-cutter in some of the thick rough to try and thin it out for next season.
The rest of the golf course will be closed after play on Sunday 23rd Oct. I hope you have played well this season and look forward to an even better season next year 🙂
